Pressure of Misting Systems

The type of mister that you have determines the amount of pressure you get from the nozzle of the misting system. As a rule, if you use high pressure, you will have small droplets of water that will evaporate much quicker. Some of the misting systems have what is called "Flash evaporation", which forces the water through very small openings in the head of the nozzle. The fine mist is very refressing as you sit on the patio and will help you feel more comfortable.

You can also have a low pressure mister, which operates off the pressure of the hose or you can use the same household pressure that comes through the taps inside the house. Either way, you get the mist you need to keep you from perspiring profusely and lets you enjoy your patio. Although some people may think that using such a system for lowering the temperature with water would make them feel wet and uncomfortable, the exact opposite is true. You don't get wet like you would in a shower of rain and it helps you to feel cooler.
